Tree Removal
Heritage Tree Care brings years of experience to the task of tree removal. Often the best way to safely remove a tree is to start at the top and work down using a combination of pulleys, ropes, and teamwork. When space permits, we may decide to fell the tree, or to use other specialized removal equipment. We believe in environmental stewardship - we can leave the wood for you to use as fuel in the winter months, or we can remove everything and take it to a recycling facility.
Tree Planting
The first step in successful tree planting is choosing the right species for the location and purpose. Whether you are looking to increase shade, create a privacy screen or enhance the beauty of your property, we take the time to fully understand your vision and help you realize your goals. We keep abreast of the latest research and industry best practices so we know what works, what doesn't and how to ensure that your plants will thrive.
Hazard Assessment
Heritage Tree Care assesses a variety of tree issues such as storm damage, lightning strike, presence of mushrooms and decay, leaning trees or other questionable situations. We review your trees, listen to your concerns, and recommend the best course of action. If a tree poses no threat, we'll put your mind at ease; if it presents a hazard, we'll tell you why and explain your options.
Tree Cabling & Bracing
Cabling and bracing are ways to provide extra support for otherwise healthy trees. The hardware and techniques we use are in keeping with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) regulations and practices. Cabling and bracing can prolong tree life, but are not suitable for every situation. Count on us to determine if they are right for you. Tree Health Assessment
Many trees live a long, healthy life without human assistance, but sometimes they need a little extra care. Insects, fungi and diseases can compromise tree health. Fortunately, there are many ways to restore trees to health, from minor surgery to injections. Selective pruning and inoculation are just two of the tools we employ to treat an ailing tree. Visit our Plant Health Care page to learn more about our tree health services.
Timber Stand Improvement
With certified arborists and degree-holders in forestry and urban tree management on our team, we can design and implement a comprehensive plan for your woodlot. Whether your goal is to yield firewood, harvest wood for milling or improve wildlife habitat, we will provide the guidance you need.
Tree Pruning
There are many reasons to prune trees, but it's important to do the job right. While it can be easy to spot the difference between amateur and professional pruning, unprofessional pruning may have a devastating effect on a tree's viability. When Heritage Tree Care assesses a tree for trimming, we consider both tree aesthetics and health. Whether we remove diseased limbs, provide clearance or thin a canopy, you can rely on us to help you make the right choice for your trees.
Stump Grinding
Our stump grinder makes short work of even the most stubborn stumps and roots, transforming a previously unsightly and unusable area into lawn or garden space. Our stump grinder is compact (able to fit through a 35-inch gate), self-propelled and lawn friendly. We can grind deep enough for replanting of grass, replacement trees or shrubs. We can also bring topsoil and reseed the newly cleared area for you.
